Weekly Offering
Weekly offerings are an expression of God’s priority in our lives. All that we have is a gift from Him, and we are called to return a portion of our resources to support His work. Sharing of your “treasure” should be intentional, planned and proportionate, and made after prayerful consideration and reflection. Making a financial commitment to the Church will ensure the future of God’s Church and Divine Child’s ability to bring more people to the Lord. Thank you in advance for supporting our parish.

ParishSOFT Giving, formerly Faith Direct
Faith Direct is now ParishSOFT Online Giving! As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, secure, and seamless giving experience, our parish’s online giving platform has officially transitioned from Faith Direct to ParishSOFT Online Giving. ParishSOFT is a trusted Catholic giving provider serving more than 12,000 parishes across the country.
Here’s what this means for you:
- Your recurring gifts, payment details, and giving history have been securely transferred.
- No action is needed — your contributions will continue without interruption.
- Depending on the offertory type you selected in Faith Direct, you may notice that your donations are now processed weekly rather than monthly, creating a more consistent flow of support for our parish ministries.
Please note: if you previously selected a weekly gift in Faith Direct, your donation will now be processed as a true weekly deduction. You may update your preferences at any time by logging into your account or contacting donor support.
You can continue giving with confidence, knowing your generosity remains secure and continues to strengthen our parish community.

CSA 2025
As we journey together in faith, we are reminded of Christ’s tender words to Peter: “Feed my sheep” (John 21:17). These words are not just a command but a calling—a reminder that we are entrusted with the care of one another, both in our parish and beyond. Just as the Saints lived lives of selfless service, answering the Lord’s call in countless ways, we too are invited to follow their example in love, generosity and faith.
Through the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA), the Archdiocese of Detroit (AOD) brings God’s love and mercy to many through more than 170 ministries, services and programs. These efforts form clergy and lay leaders at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, support Catholic education, and provide outreach to those in need. Divine Child benefits directly from these programs, and our participation helps ensure their continued success.
Ways to Give
Parishioners will receive a custom donor card from the Archdiocese of Detroit in the coming weeks, but no need to wait! Donate online today or by check payable to "Archdiocese of Detroit – CSA" delivered to the rectory or placed in the offertory baskets at Mass.
Consider a Gift
As we begin our Lenten journey on Ash Wednesday, we are called to deepen our commitment to prayer, fasting and almsgiving—three pillars that draw us closer to Christ. Lent is a time of reflection and sacrifice, an opportunity to renew our hearts and strengthen our faith.
Our parish has been called to raise $182,111 for the 2025 CSA, and I prayerfully ask you to consider a $375 donation as part of your Lenten sacrificial giving.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to reaching our goal. If you can give more, your generosity can support families unable to contribute at this time.
If we Exceed our Goal
Any funds raised beyond our CSA goal remain with Divine Child. With the overage, we plan to commission custom cabinets to house our parish’s collection of over 40 first-class relics of Catholic Saints. Previously kept in the Adoration Chapel, these sacred relics will be moved into the main church to provide parishioners with greater access to view them, venerate them, and pray for the Saints’ intercession. The custom cabinets will be placed next to the Marian and St. Joseph side altars. Our vision is to place the relics on the center altar during Masses on the Saints’ feast days, offering our parishioners a deeper connection to these spiritual treasures.
In addition to this important project, a portion of the overage will be used for practical needs that will enhance our worship experience, including new vestments for clergy and altar servers as well as repairs to sanctuary lighting.
The Saints lived Christ’s call to “feed my sheep” by tending to the sick, feeding the hungry, and caring for those in need. Their example urges us to do the same. By supporting the CSA, we strengthen the Church and serve others, continuing Christ’s work through our generosity and love.

Planned Giving
Leave a Legacy of Catholic Stewardship

Your charitable legacy can live on for generations through planned giving and Catholic estate planning. By naming our parish and schools as a beneficiary of your estate, you can continue to support its mission in death as you did in life. And, with a gift to a permanent endowment, you can provide stable, ongoing financial support to our parish or school – forever. Most importantly, by including our parish and schools in your estate plans, your values will be manifest in your legacy of Catholic stewardship for Divine Child.
Charitable Bequests in Wills/Trusts
Direct part of your estate to Divine Child in your will or trust, while retaining full use of your property during your life.
Gifts of Life Insurance
Transfer ownership of your policy to Divine Child, or make Divine Child the beneficiary of your policy’s death benefit.
Gifts of Retirement Account Assets
Leave retirement assets to the Divine Child (and leave different assets to family beneficiaries) to reduce taxes imposed on those assets.
Gifts of Marketable Securities
Give outright property gifts to Divine Child in form of individual stocks, bonds or shares of mutual funds.
Gifts with a Retained Income
Use a charitable remainder trust or charitable gift annuity to increase your spendable income, reduce taxes and give to Divine Child.
Gifts of Cash
Make a cash donation to the Divine Child at any time, and your donation will be put to work immediately!

Endowments & Designated Funds
There are multiple ways to provide ongoing funding as an individual or family - and in memory of a loved one - to support Divine Child Parish & Catholic Schools in perpetuity. Whether it be through an endowment or a designated fund, pease prayerfully consider joining other parents, grandparents, alumni, friends and community supporters in ensuring the longterm viability of Divine Child Parish & Catholic Schools.
Endowed Fund contributions are invested in a diversified portfolio that protects the principal and generates interest which is used as an annual scholarship distribution creating a long-term impact.
A Designated Fund is an advised fund whose beneficiary organization has been specified by the donor(s) at the time of the gift. Income from the fund is distributed in accordance with the instructions provided at the time of the gift.
Endowed Funds
Establishing an Endowed Fund with Divine Child Parish & Catholic Schools requires a minimum commitment of $10,000. These funds are then invested in a diversified portfolio that protects the principal and generates interest which is used as an annual distribution to a designated need on our campus, creating a longterm impact. Thus, an endowment fund can be held permanently, allowing you to provide stable, ongoing financial support to Divine Child Parish or Catholic schools – forever. Once in place, the endowment fund will grow and make annual distributions to support Divine Child for generations to come.
Some important factor to consider regarding endowed funds, include:
- Principal Balance – The principal balance can never be spent, so the endowment earning power is protected against inflation. Excess income or appreciation is added to the principal to protect its value over time.
- Distributable – The distributable balance consists of net income and appreciation (realized and unrealized) of the principal. This is the portion of the fund from which grants may be made.
- Advantages – The principal amount of money gifted will never be depleted. In this way, the fund will continue to give for good, forever.
- Limitations – As the amount of money available for distribution is based on the principal amount in the fund, each year’s grants will be directly affected by the fund’s overall success in the market.
- Liquidity – The principal balance invested is never liquidated, allowing for a continuous, perpetual gift.

Designated Fund
Designated Funds are a useful charitable tool to provide for the vital programs or ongoing capital needs of our Parish and schools. As an advised fund, Divine Child can be specified by the donor(s) at the time of the gift. Income from the fund, and in some cases principal, is distributed in accordance with the instructions provided at the time of the gift. Designated funds can also be named in honor and in memory of a loved one. Endowing a designated fund can allow it to be a longterm funding source for Divine Child, where gifts can be made annually.

When you give to the Divine Child Annual Fund, your donations are not deposited into a rainy day fund. From facility updates and technology enhancements to tuition assistance and new digital learning tools and resources, our current students and teachers directly benefit from your generosity. Your contributions today fund important projects over the next two years which are critical to the longevity and competitiveness of our schools. Pay it forward for generations of Falcons to come. Featured Fund | Tuition Assistance
Back-to-school season is a great reminder of what makes Divine Child so special — our superior academics, our close-knit community, continual facility improvements, program enhancements, and most importantly, our shared faith.
We want all students to be able to experience the gift of attending Divine Child and while we aim to maintain affordable tuition, we understand many families make sacrifices to give their children a Catholic education. To help relieve the financial burden, we are launching our Tuition Assistance Drive to support families facing financial challenges.
Our goal is to raise $175,000 to support DC families in need for the 2025-2026 school year. Every contribution helps ensure that no child is turned away from receiving a Divine Child Catholic education. Together, we can make a difference!
Featured Fund | HS Cafeteria Remodel
Phase 2 of our High School Kitchen & Cafeteria Renovation will support the transformation of the high school cafeteria into an elevated, multi-use gathering space!
This enhanced area will not only serve Divine Child High School students and staff during the day but will also be a stunning setting for campus-wide events, including parish and grade school functions. Plans include expanding the footprint by opening the wall between the APR and cafeteria, adding exposed ceilings, installing new decorative lighting and wall features to beautify the space, and more. Additionally, we are exploring the possibility of an outdoor patio and seating area, to create a versatile, welcoming environment that will meet the evolving needs of our entire campus community.

Scholarships
One of the most meaningful ways your contributions to Divine Child can make an impact is by providing tuition assistance to deserving students in need through a four-year scholarship. Every year, at least 100 of our school families apply for some form of financial assistance. We do our best to share the financial aid scholarships and tuition assistance we have available with all our families in need. We never want a student to decide against pursuing a Divine Child education because of financial reasons, and your support secures a world of possibility for students whose families would otherwise be unable to afford a Catholic education at Divine Child High School.
Scholarships are directly expendable funds that make an immediate impact in the full amount of the gift. Four-year scholarships compliment endowed funds by allowing Divine Child Catholic Schools leadership to be nimble and responsive to the current need of the moment, ensuring accessibility to as many students as possible at Divine Child. A contribution to our high school or elementary school scholarship funds provide immediate tuition assistance for families in need.
A Four-Year Scholarship is a commitment to support the financial need of a student during his or her time at Divine Child High School. Through your annual giving each year, your full gift makes an immediate impact.
You can establish a four-year scholarship by making an annual donation that contributes to the cost of a student’s tuition and fees for his or her four years at Divine Child High School.
You can sponsor a student to the level of:
- Full Tuition
- Half Tuition
- $5,000 per year ($20,000 total commitment)
- $2,500 per year ($10,000 total commitment)
